Toby Upshaw is leading in the Summer Points Series at Dexter Raceway. Toby has had 3 wins and one second place finish so far this year. Our next points race is July 28th. We will have special guests for that race. Bill & Gale Laubach (Mom & Step-dad) will be visiting from Marble Falls Texas.
Dexter was rained out tonight. Toby and I went to Hurricane Speedway in Alma, Georgia. It was their very first practice since opening this track. We were bench racing (we didn't bring the go-kart). The track was great. It had allot of runoff room and looked to be a safe place to race. I also noticed, that it is a great place to watch the race. From the grand stands, you sort of look down onto the track with a great view of the speedway.

We went to Burke Co Speedway this weekend to practice for the state race. We had a good time, met some new friends and raced hard!! There were 4 classes running and we were in 2 of them!! We ran the Junior Sportsman I Lite & Junior Sportsman I Heavy. It was a fast paced day with running 2 different classes. We did a lot of testing and the Wood's Racing Animal motor was looking good!!

Toby Upshaw will begin the 2007 Season racing at Dexter Raceway in Dexter, Georgia. See link below to the track website. We have a new chassis and fresh motor to start the season. We will try to provide updates more frequent this year to keep you informed. I will post the Dexter Summer Points Series Schedule when it is released. We would love to see you at the races.

Bruce took his new camaro out and found a new driver he met at the track. LOL. He was introduced to Keith Brendell by Harry Adams and Bruce agreed to give Keith a shot, and boy did it pay off. Nick Tassan drove Gary's new 6 car and Nick and Brenden both won in their classes. Keith won overall and had to pass some cars to get to the win. Bruce say's Keith had a straight away advantage at the checkered flag. I have not talked to Gary but Bruce says Nick drove the heck out out of the 6 car. Hmmm.. Kind of reminds me of one day I saw Bruce and Gary both win at Middle Georgia Speedway in the original cars....30 years ago!!!.
